If you enable Google Drive backups, your data is also stored in your personal Google Drive account under folders you control. We access Google Drive only with your explicit authorization and only to perform the backup and restore operations you request.

You own all creative content you create on TomeForger. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your manuscripts, characters, world-building, or any other creative works. Your stories are yours.

We will never use your creative content to train AI models, sell to third parties, or repurpose in any way without your explicit consent.

6. Third-Party Services

We may integrate with or use the following third-party services:

Stripe — for payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs how payment data is handled.
Google Drive — for optional data backups, only when you authorize and configure this feature.
AI Services — for features like the ForgeGuide assistant and content generation. Prompts sent to AI services do not include your full creative works unless you explicitly request it.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

With your consent or at your direction (e.g., sharing a project with a collaborator)

8. Education Accounts

For school and education accounts, administrators may have access to student activity within their school's scope. Student data is protected and isolated to the school account. We comply with applicable education privacy regulations.

With your consent or at your direction, such as when sharing a project with a collaborator

10. Education Accounts

For school and education accounts, authorized administrators may have access to student activity and content within their institution's scope, subject to the permissions and settings of the education account. Student data is intended to remain segregated within the applicable school environment, and we aim to support compliance with applicable education privacy laws and regulations.

11. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active, as necessary to provide the Service, or as required for legal, security, or legitimate business purposes.

You may delete individual projects, characters, and other content at any time through the Service where those features are available. If you wish to delete your entire account and associated data, please contact us using the contact information below.

If you disconnect a Google integration, we will stop future access to the connected Google service, but previously created backups or calendar events may remain in your Google account unless you delete them separately.

12. Children's Privacy

TomeForger is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 outside of permitted education or parent/guardian-authorized contexts where applicable law allows.

For users between 13 and 18, we recommend parental or guardian guidance. Education accounts involving minors must be managed by authorized school officials, educators, or guardians as appropriate.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Privacy Policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
